Midnight Madness - Sold Out - Extended Offer Available for $100, which you can fundraise or pay up front. 30 spots left - Register Now

The inaugural year of the midnight madness was a huge success with more than 400 people. We will be opening the field up to 500 people this year.

The Midnight Madness is Philadelphia’s only glow-in-the-dark run that takes you on the 8.4-mile loop around the Schuylkill River. The race starts at midnight on Saturday, July 18th in front of Lloyd Hall. (The MM is Saturday, July 18th, which is technically Sunday morning. If you have questions, please email Maureen O'Toole.)

In addition to prizes for the top three finishers, an award will be given to the most illuminated runner. All participants are invited to chill out on the deck of Lloyd Hall after their run to enjoy food, fuel and music and the awards ceremony.

All Midnight Madness participants will be required to wear some piece of reflective gear or paint (many people wore glow sticks in 2008). We also recommend that you carry a cell phone. The course will be well lit and marshaled by bikes and support vehicles that will constantly patrol the loop throughout the entire night.

If you ran the race last year, you can expect a lot more light, more refreshments and liquids at the water stations, 24-hour EMS support and many more people around the course.

All Midnight Madness participants will start in front of Lloyd Hall at Midnight on Saturday, July 18th. Everyone will do one loop and finish in front of Lloyd Hall where there will be refreshments and entertainment inside. All Midnight Madness participants must run on the designated path. Running on the street after dark is not permitted- no exceptions.

Here you can find a bulleted list of the official rules and regulations

Central Staging Area

Situated on the banks and overlooking the Schuylkill River, just north of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Lloyd Hall is the only public athletic facility on Boathouse Row. Because of the magnitude of the 20in24, all Midnight Madness Participants will be asked to stay outside on the lawn and deck of the facility. A 24-hour secure baggage check will be made available to participants.
